MarYSoul Expression Studio

MarYSoul Expression (MYS) is a creative movement rooted in holistic sexuality. Through partnerships with artists and organizers, MYS cultivates spaces that foster confidence, pleasure, creativity, and unapologetic self-expression.

Grounded in a public health framework—most notably the Circles of Sexuality by Dennis Dailey (1981)—MYS blends artistry and education to center creativity, sensuality, storytelling, and representation as essential pillars of health equity.

Founded by Marcela De La Trigg, a visionary with a rich background in Public Health, Gender Studies, Trauma-Informed Education, Social Justice, Sex Education, Yoga, and more, MYS reflects her multidisciplinary approach to community empowerment.

In January 2023, Marcela joined the Front Street Buildings in Dayton. What began as a personal space to move freely without societal constraints has since blossomed into a vibrant, welcoming studio—a canvas for expression far beyond the visual.

Since then, MYS has hosted bold and inclusive offerings:

• Risk-taking art exhibitions

• All-levels dance and yoga classes

• Creative workshops for adults

• Shibari and kink-positive educational events

• Joyful, judgment-free studio nights

With deep community support, MarYSoul Expression continues to lead a movement that champions wellness, body autonomy, radical self-expression, and liberatory education.

MYS has proudly collaborated with organizations including:

• The Women’s Center of Wright State University

• The Dayton Black Women’s Film Festival

• The Abortion Fund of Ohio

• R.U.D.E. Burlesque 

• And many more

Expanding beyond Dayton, MYS bridges artistic communities across Ohio and Texas to amplify its mission. In 2024, Marcela was honored as one of 10 women selected for the inaugural Women of Wright State cohort, recognized for her transformative work.
