It all started as a dream that eventually led her here. Tabitha is a Beavercreek native where she nurtured her innate need to create by opening an art studio (Decoy Art Center) in 2012, that still serves the area through community partnerships…but her love for clay and it’s endless possibilities has brought her back to the wheel.
"Pottery can be expressive, simple, unique and full of awe. Art - functional or not - should harness a positive emotion…it should fill you with joy."
She would make mud pie pottery while her dad and grandfather built her childhood home, and finally those two wonderful worlds have collided for her once again - pottery and real estate. While she spends most of her time helping community members find their next home, she spends her free time as an artist in her home studio alongside her husband, Mike, who is also a professional artist or at MADE creating a new line of ceramic pots. Her kids, Riley and Gabriel, are grown and living in the Dayton area embarking on their own adventures. And that’s life…many adventures mended together and told through objects and memories. Homes and pottery.
